Reflecting Lies

The glass may be broken but at some point in life, you'd thought it would be a good idea to fix it back.

A lil strong glue here and there, fix this and that.

Well it works, you could still see a reflection, not a clear image though but it'll make do.

That's what love is all about anyway, accepting the flaws.

 The glue could handle.

Either the yellow black one or the elephant was that much of a use.

Nail wise? nah. it had to. The mirror's too heavy for an old rusty nail.

Break apart again.

Worse than before.

Now the pieces were tiny and little.

Sweeping it out was the only way.

Now, there's no reflection.

There's just an empty wall where a mirror used to hang.

Bought a new mirror to replace it and the memory kicks in.

"The old mirror looks nicer" or so she thought.

Held the new mirror in her arms; eyes teary with memories of the past.

How wonderful would it have been if those words weren't lies?
