The Language

greetings from me
exam season is approaching, or is it here edi? UPSR passed so let's just assume the exam season is here. Warm hello to final exams, PMR, SPM and moreeee! /virtual dancing/ It's always creepy when we think about exams, well exclude PBS that is. Heh. When we talk about exam, all of us want A's and B's and no C's or D's or E's. Or to make it easier, we all want success. the easy way.

which means no revising, no paying attention at class, no this and that.

Is it possible to achieve good grades like that? Hell no. The term 'nothing is impossible' can't be applied in this case. You want good grades, you gotta work for it! A lot of students have a problem when studying. Its either they can't memorize it, they have problem understanding it or they are lazy to revise etc. I'm a student myself so those problems happened to me as well.

But, how does one achieve good grades? You know very well those type of students who say they don't revise but ends up being number one in class. They probably say they don't study for reason or they really don't and ends up with an A. That happens. It's either luck or brains. Ever heard of study smart? of course you do. If you don't, study smart is an efficient way of studying because.... im not sure. I searched the web and there's nothing regarding it. Well, god bless my life! Lol.

To make long story even longer, here is my fave tip on how to study smart

1. CHANGE THE LANGUAGE
If you have a tough time memorizing things, it means you need to change it to your 'language'
For example, the lever class. Most students mixed it up. First class, second class, third class. It can be a little confusing. So, try and be creative by making it easy to remember. Noticed how you can remember lyrics of a Kpop song and not scientific terms? Its because you like that song. Making it enjoyable to memorize. It's in our nature to love fun things ^_^

Now, the fun part. Changing languages. As for me, I have a thing for Kpop and food so if I have any trouble with anything that needs remembering, I'll change the 'language' into mine. Classifying the lever classes might be tough. If you want to identify whether the device is first class or not, you need to know what's in the middle. It's either fulcrum, load or effort. For the first class, it's fulcrum. So, to make it easier for me to remember I use the 'the sexiest contest' method.

So, what class is this device is?

Solution: First, I change the fulcrum, load and effort into Fei, Luna and Eunji. Then, I imagine them participating the 'sexiest contest'. For sure, Fei is first, Luna is second and Eunji is third. See the diagram above? Effort (or Eunji) is in the middle. Eunji won third place in the contest thus making the device a third-class lever ^_^

Still don't have the idea how to change it to your language? Hm. You know the cartesian plane? Its easy to mess up, right? The negatives, positives, y and x. If you're confused which axis is y or x, change it to your language. I gave the 'Y' axis a name, Yixing. The 'X' axis, Xiumin. Yixing is taller than Xiumin. Geddit? Or the best way, y diri x duduk ? (pronounce the x as 'tak') If you're Malaysian, you know very well how clever the second method is. Credits to my friend for that awesome method!

So, I guess that's it. It's quite hard to explain here. Regardless, I hope you gained a few useful info to help you with the upcoming exam. And remember, if you want good grades, you gotta work for it! Study smart alone won't guarantee you success, you still and MUST MUST MUST pray to God. At the end of the day, His blessings is what we hope for.

Good luck and I'll see you again in my future post!
